The Department of Public Antiquities/Public Relations and Media Unit issued the first issue of its monthly awareness bulletin, “Our Antiquities,” for the month of August, in both paper and electronic form.
Acting Director General of the Department of Public Antiquities, Hisham Al-Abadi, said in a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the bulletin aims to inform the internal and external public about the activities and news of the department, and to publish awareness-raising, scientific and news articles at the heart of its work.
He stated that the bulletin will be a window for communication between the department and society, and to encourage young people to participate in protecting antiquities, pointing out that work will be done to issue the bulletin in English.
